      Since 2013, St. Charles Retreat Centre has been a special home for our CANA community, which seeks to bring families together to grow in deeper and stronger love for God and for one another. It’s where we’ve shared so many meaningful moments as a CANA family—retreats, formation days, celebrations, and quiet times of prayer. Whether walking the serene grounds, enjoying fellowship, or spending time in prayer, the retreat centre offers a sense of peace and solace that continues to nourish families year after year.

      We were so grateful to have a day for our L’Arche community Assistants to retreat together. It was truly a time to rest, relax, and renew. The warm welcome from Sr. Lilian made us feel right at home. St. Charles as a place of retreat provided just what was needed… a time of listening in the gathering room and the option to stay indoors or move outdoors for small groups and lunch. Here we also found sacred spaces whether it was through the natural beauty of the river in the backyard or on the balcony or entering the prayerful silence of the chapel. This retreat day at St. Charles brought us together in a new way and allowed us to be held by the expansiveness of Spirit of God so often needed in our daily life.

      The St. Charles Retreat Center, under its host Sr. Lilian, is a place that offers all the elements we were looking for to hold our Diaconate Formation weekends. The chapel, overnight accommodations, multiple bathroom facilities, multiple rooms for break out sessions, a larger common room, a full kitchen and dining area all help this be an intimate and comfortable setting for our formation sessions and retreats.

    We are able to accommodate individuals with accessibility needs. The facility is in a safe location and equipped with a security system.

    Mass is celebrated Wednesday Mornings at 9:00am in our Chapel. Visitors and retreatants are welcomed to join us.
